Planning your electrical project: what to include in a quote request

Prepare an electrical quote request with clear property details, project goals and timing. Learn what to share with Boost Electric before discussing your work.

Indoor Light Fixtures — Boost Electric project

Start with the space

A useful electrical project brief begins with the property. Tell us whether the work is for a home, business or industrial space, and where the property is located. Mention the rooms or areas involved and whether they are in everyday use. These details help us understand the setting before we discuss the work.

Describe the result you want

You do not need to know the technical solution before getting in touch. Describe what you want to change: a room that needs different lighting, a renovation that will change the layout, or an installation you would like us to review. Explain what is working for you now and what you would like to improve.

Include the details you already have

If you have a room layout, a list of fixtures or information from your renovation plans, mention it in your enquiry. Let us know whether you have already chosen any fittings. You can also describe access arrangements, opening hours or other work that needs to be coordinated. There is no need to open electrical equipment or investigate wiring to prepare your request.

Share your timing and priorities

Tell us whether you are exploring ideas, gathering quotes or ready to arrange the work. If the project has a target date, include it and explain any related milestones. Separate the changes you need from the additions you are still considering so we can discuss the scope clearly.

Send your request

Use our quote form to share your property type, the service you are interested in and a short project description. Our team can then review the information, ask any follow-up questions and talk through the next steps with you.
